Events

The LINK is working hard to involve as many local people, groups and organisations as possible and is using lots of different ways to reach people, including hosting events and having a LINk stall at local events.

LINk Launch Event (Oct 2008)

Thank you to everyone who came along to the LINk launch event on 22nd October 2008 at the Jubilee Library. We held the event twice on that day to enable as many people to attend as possible.

Guest speaker Simon Hubbard urged everyone who finds that life has 'handed them a lemon' to try and see the positive side. He talked about how he has managed to put his experiences as a service user to good use and is helping other people in similar situations.

As well as our guest speaker, there were interesting questions and answers sessions and workshops. The workshops considered mental health and adult social care issues.

Link Stakeholder Event (June 2008)
