Description & Role
Description:
The Children and Young People's Network provides a space for groups working with children and young people to come together, network, share information and good practice. The Network includes about 180 CVSF member organisations and 300 individual contacts.
It consists of bi-monthly network meetings followed up by fortnightly newsletters. It also provides an opportunity for members to share information and events with other members.
See below for the terms of reference for the network.
Role:
The role of the Children and Young People's Network is to bring together groups that work with children and young people either directly or indirectly to provide support, information, share good practice and networking. It is involved in partnership working with the Children and Young People's Trust, where it gives a CVS perspective on the Workforce Development Strategy and policies in Brighton and Hove. Areas that the network is currently focused on includes safeguarding, child protection, teenage pregnancy, integrated working, promotion of city-wide training and workforce development.
