Mental Health Network

This network brings together, through quarterly meetings and an email group, volunteers and paid workers from local community and voluntary organisations involved in mental health services.

Members are encouraged to share information about activities and may be consulted about public sector services.

Minutes of all the mental health network meetings are online under 'agendas and minutes'.

Development of a Community and Volantary Sector Consortia

One of the things the Network has been involved in is providing a case study for some action research about developing community and voluntary sector consortia to provide public services.

Mental Health Promotion Strategy for Brighton and Hove

Brighton and Hove City Teaching Primary Care Trust have produced this Mental Health Promotion Strategy for Brighton and Hove (click on the heading). It meets the national requirement of the Department of Health to address Standard One of the Mental Health National Service Framework through the development of a local strategy 2008-2011.

You can read the strategy here.

First draft of the Service User and Carer Engagement Strategy

The Strategy aims to provide clarity for staff, service users, and carers on what we mean by "involvement" and outlines different levels of involvement appropriate to different contexts. The paper also outlines the initial thinking in relation to involvement for Foundation Trust members, and describes the role of the new LINks groups.

You can see it here.
