Workforce Development
The CVSF is funded by the Children's Workforce Development Council (CWDC) to engage local voluntary & community sector (VCS) organisations with the Brighton & Hove Children & Young People's Trust (CYPT) to develop & publicise multi-agency training to achieve a more skilled & integrated children's workforce.
Forthcoming multi-agency training opportunities: We have worked with CYPT colleagues to develop, publicise and support VCS participation in several training programmes for the children's workforce:
- Core Skills Training Programme: These courses cover effective communication, child development, safeguarding children, supporting transitions and multi-agency working. Places for Third Sector staff and volunteers are at a reduced rate of £30 per course or free for small community groups. Download the Core Skills 2009-2010 programme for this link .
