The LINk (Local Involvement Network)

Take part in the LINk Competition! (see further down the page for details).

The LINk (Local Involvement Network) is a local, powerful, independent network of people and organisations, which gives Brighton and Hove residents and groups a stronger voice on health and social care issues.

Who can Get Involved?

Anyone who lives in the Brighton & Hove area, or uses health and social care services in that area.

In order to ensure that the LINk remains independent, employees of statutory organisations which provide health and social care services (like the City Council and local Primary Care Trust) are not eligible to vote or to sign up as participants of the LINk. However they are welcome to participate as observers, and may be able to join up as individuals in their own right, if this is separate from their job. Please contact us to discuss.

If you would like to sign-up to the LINk and receive newsletters every other month, please complete a Registration form, which you can find in our Join page.

If you would like to visit public and socially funded care facitilites in order to view the care provided and report on the findings, please look at the Enter and View section of our site (scroll down the page).

Competition

Have you ever looked at something and thought to yourself, "I could have done that, I could make that look better”

Well now's your chance to show that you really can. Brighton and Hove Local Involvement Network (LINk) are launching a competition to invite people to design the cover of their Annual Report.

Each year the Brighton and Hove LINk must produce an Annual Report that looks back over the previous 12 months and provides an overview of its activities, achievements, finances and important events that have taken place. It is a legal requirement to provide a report to the Secretary of State for Health.

The winning designer will receive £150 (high street voucher of your choice).  The competition is open to everyone who lives, works or studies in Brighton and Hove. The closing date for entries is 17.00 on the 18th June, 2010 with the Annual Report due to be published in June.
For entry form and rules see bottom of the page.
Please note the documents make reference to ages of entrants, please disregard this as originally this competition was open to young people only.
