Next CNN Meeting

The next meeting of the Community Newsletter Network (CNN) takes place on Wednesday 12 September, from 7.30 - 9.00pm, at Brighthelm on North Road in Brighton.

"Most voluntary and community groups and organisations produce newsletters or leaflets at some point, but how well do you understand the printing process and can you save yourself time and money with a few helpful hints? Whether you are baffled by the difference between digital and litho or want to understand why your pdf file isn't compatible, this practical workshop aims to demystify the printing process and provides an opportunity to probe a printing ‘expert' with any questions or qualms".

We are very pleased to have with us a real printer! Brought to you live and direct from Gemini Press, he will be able to answer all our questions and help us get our newsletters published with greater ease! All those embarassing questions we never dared ask, well, now is the chance to get them all out in the open without fear!

What would really help make the session work well is to have a list of questions from you, or examples of printing difficulties you have experience of.  If you could email me your puzzles and questions this week at the very latest, we will make sure our printer can answer them on the day.

It would also be very good if you could let me know whether you are coming or not (thanks to those of you who already have) because we have some fact sheets to get prepared.  It's next Wednesday, at the Forum's quarterly conference, Brighthelm, North Road. Conference starts with food at 5.30 but workshop itself starts at 7.30.  You are welcome to come to all or just bits of it.

I'll look forward to hearing from you and being bombarded with a list of your questions!
